Attentive edging along paved surfaces, building and fences, and the removal of grass clippings from non-turf areas results in a tidy, finished look. OUI uses primarily lightweight commercial zero radius turn ride on and walk behind mowers.

Lawn Care

Well managed turf attains better color, density, and vigor. OUI develops a properly timed program for turf fertilization, pre and post-emergent weed control, and soil pH modification. In addition, OUI monitors for any disease and insect problems.

Tree/Shrub Care

Most trees and shrubs benefit form spring and fall fertilization. This combined with a pest suppression program will protect plants and help them thrive. OUI will control weeds in shrub beds and monitor plants for tell tale signs of disease and insect problems.

Pruning

OUI removes dead and conflicting branches to promote the longevity and health of trees and shrubs. We will prune as necessary to manage size and shape of individual plants or hedges.

Mulching

Carefully edged and mulched landscape beds look attractive, limit weed growth, and help protect trees and shrubs from drought and freeze damage. OUI applies a layer of shredded mulch to all landscape beds and individual trees, and re-cuts turf borders as necessary to create crisp edges.

Lawn Overseeding/Renovation

All lawns benefit from the periodic introduction of vigorous new grass. Sometimes satisfactory results can only be achieved by renovation lawns that are too far gone. OUI conditions the soil and plants a superior grass variety using techniques which result in optimum seed germination.

Lawn Aeration

The removal of small cores of soil and thatch from the lawn improves the lawn's health and vigor and reduces maintenance requirements by reducing compaction and improving the ability of the grass roots to expand into the soil.

Leaf Removal

Accumulations of leaves are ugly and may hinder the growth of anything beneath them. OUI uses industrial yet quite blowers to clear leaves from landscape beds and lawn areas. The leaves are then suitably recycled.
